SALT LAKE CITY — The Wasatch Front has been chosen as the site for the North American Securities Administrators Association Fall 2013 Conference, which could infuse more than $1 million into the local economy.

Approximately 500 NASAA members are expected to attend the September meeting, which brings together securities regulators, securities law professionals, consumer advocates and legislative and regulatory analysts for an in-depth look at key financial services policy issues.

“We are delighted and honored that NASAA and its members voted to return to Utah for the fourth time in its organization's history and look forward to hosting this prestigious meeting,” said Gov. Gary Herbert.

According to NASAA, the event is expected to bring more than $1 million to the area economy through lodging, meals, and meeting related expenses by its members. The organization's first annual conference was held in Salt Lake City in 1922. This meeting will be the fourth time the conference will visit Utah.
