Going on vacation with the family just got more expensive, as airlines are adding yet another fee, according to YNN.

Getting an aisle or window seat can cost flyers an additional $25 or more, according to the article. Aisle seats usually have more leg room, leaving only a few seats in the middle for passengers who don't want to pay more.

One bad aspect to the extra fee is that it makes it harder and more expensive for families and couples to sit together on the plane, according to the article. The added cost could result in fewer air travelers and more driving, Jodi Woorlard of AAA Carolinas told YNN.

"It's essential I sit with my daughter, (with her) being 3 years old," frequent flier Charles Rizzo told YNN. "It's not an option. We have to sit together."

Frequent fliers may be able to get aisle and window seats at no extra charge, and most airlines try to seat parents next to their children, travel experts told YNN.
