FARMINGTON — The Davis Board of Education will consider a proposed change to the 2012-13 school year calendar during its regular meeting June 5.

The proposed change would move the beginning of the school year for traditional students to the day after Labor Day — Tuesday, Sept. 4. Traditional schools would then end the school year on Friday, June 7. Year-round schools' A-C tracks would begin school Wednesday, July 25.

The State Board of Education authorized districts to provide two additional days for teacher development.
