MIDVALE — Hillcrest High School is the highest-ranked Utah high school in the Washington Post's High School Challenge.
Hillcrest earned the 378th spot on the list. Other Utah schools include Skyline High, which was ranked No. 404; Highland High at No. 722; Karl G. Maeser Prep at No. 764; and Davis High at No. 902.
Schools are ranked based on the newspaper’s Challenge Index, which takes the total number of Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and Advanced International Certificate of Education tests given at a school each year and divides it by the number of seniors who graduated in May or June.
