As if fears for finding a job aren't enough, planning for a 2033 retirement could be the next headache.
Social Security benefits will decline by 25 percent in 21 years, according to an article on MarketWatch.
If Congress doesn’t change the plan, Social Security may drop even more, the article said.
"It might be smart to look at the worst case," said Andy Landis, founder of "Thinking Retirement." "What if Congress does nothing between now and 2035? At that point Social Security payments could be cut up to 25 percent."
Planning ideas could include delaying retirement or even working part-time during retirement. But for those who want to enjoy retirement life, consider increasing the amount saved toward retirement or investing in other ways.
