SALT LAKE CITY — Two people were injured Wednesday night after a semitrailer rollover on Interstate 80 near mile post 140, according to officials.
According to the Utah Department of Public Safety, two semitrailers were traveling eastbound on Interstate 80 when the first lost wood and rocks from its load. The driver of the second semitrailer swerved to miss the debris and lost control, crossing the median over the westbound lanes and exiting the road on the North side before rolling.
Both passengers, a woman and a man, were transported to the hospital by ambulance. The woman, who was driving the vehicle, was reported in serious condition.
