ROY — The driver of a vehicle who crossed a freeway median was killed in a collision that shut down southbound I-15 Monday evening.
At 7 p.m., a vehicle traveling north for some reason crossed over the median at milepost 338 near Roy. The driver, 41-year-old Eva A. Trump, of Morgan, was killed after the vehicle hit the side of a semitrailer traveling north, Utah Highway Patrol Cpl. Todd Johnson said.
Southbound I-15 was closed as crews worked to clear the area. The name of the victim was not released. Johnson said investigators did not know late Monday why the vehicle crossed the median.
There were no other injuries reported.
