WEST VALLEY CITY — Students from West Valley City high schools will take part in a student exchange program with students from Nantou, Taiwan.

On June 4, a delegation of 10 students will go to Taiwan for 29 days. While overseas, they will live with families with students of the same age. The students will have daily lessons in Mandarin Chinese and learn about Taiwanese culture.

From July 22 to Aug. 19, a delegation of 12 students from Nantou will stay with the families of the West Valley City delegation and other residents of the city and participate in English and culture classes.

For 12 years, West Valley City has maintained a sister city relationship with Nantou.
