OGDEN — A 3-year-old boy was in critical condition Friday after being runover by a vehicle backing out of driveway.

The boy, from Pocatello, was visiting family members with his mother. The boy was playing at a neighbor's home in the area of 950 East and 1200 North about 1 p.m. Thursday when he was struck by a Chevy Impala backing out of the driveway, said Ogden Police Lt. The rear of the car struck the boy and knocked him under the vehicle, he said. The boy was initially taken to McKay-Dee Hospital before he was taken by medical helicopter to Primary Children's Medical  Center.
