SALT LAKE CITY — Utah's Primary Care Network is open for enrollment, inviting uninsured adults in Utah to apply.

Enrollment for the state-sponsored health benefits has been closed for several months, due to an increased number of adults hanging on to the plans for longer terms. Applications will be accepted for qualified adults, online, by mail or in person, until March 30.

Eligibility is dependent upon a variety of factors. Applicants must not be covered by any other health insurance or benefit programs, be U.S. citizens between 19 and 64 years old, as well as meet income requirements.

PCN is a primary preventive health coverage plan that typically covers doctor visits, prescriptions, dental services, eye exams, emergency room visits, birth control and general preventive services.

To apply online, visit www.health.utah.gov/pcn, or call the PCN hotline, at 1-888-222-2542.
