ST. GEORGE — Playing in its second tournament in three days, the UVU women's golf team is in 10th place Monday after the first day of the BYU Invitational being played at Entrada at Snow Canyon.

The Wolverines placed 12th at the Bison Invitational played in Las Vegas last weekend.

Freshman Lynn-Marie Nagel leads the Wolverines at +11 (T16), followed by Jordan Dougal at +15 (30th) and Lauren Ballenger at +26 (56th). Celeste Gish (+27) and Brooke Bliss (+27) are tied for 58th.

Oklahoma State's Kelsey Vines leads the tournament at +2, while Illinois' Hailey Koschmann and Texas State's Krista Puisite are tied for second at +4.

Texas State holds a 12-shot lead over second-place Oklahoma State, while Cal State Fullerton and Nebraska are tied for third at +37.

Final-round action gets underway Tuesday morning.
