Utah State women's basketball players Ashlee Brown and Devyn Christensen were named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association All-Region 7 Team. They are now nominees for the 2012 WBCA Division I Coaches' All-America Team.

On Monday, the selection committee will review 52 candidates and trim the list to 40 finalists, all of whom will be in the running for selection to the 10-member WBCA Division I Coaches' All-America Team.

Brown, a senior forward, and Christensen, a junior guard, are the only two Western Athletic Conference players to be honored.

The Aggies were led this season by Brown, who earned first-team All-WAC honors and was the conference's Defensive Player of the Year. Brown had 12 double-doubles, averaging 15.1 points and 8.9 rebounds per game.

A first-team All-WAC honoree, Christensen led all players in scoring (20.6 ppg) and 3-pointers per game (2.9 pg) in WAC play. She currently ranks sixth nationally in free-throw percentage (89.8) and is 22nd in 3-point field-goal percentage (38.3).

The 2012 WBCA Division I Coaches' All-America Team will be announced at 1:05 p.m. MT on Saturday March 31 during the NCAA's Super Saturday festivities at the Pepsi Center in Denver.
