SALT LAKE CITY — The Rose Park Lions Club Wednesday awarded students for their entries in the annual Peace Poster contest.

The three winning posters in the Rose Park Lions Club contest were: first place - Ema Condori Teves, North Star Elementary; second place - Blen Yohannes, North Star Elementary; third place - Emma Claire Sanok, Washington Elementary. Honorable mentions were submitted by Jessica Nguyen, North Star Elementary; and Abril Rameriz, Backman Elementary. 

The contest is open to students all around the world, giving them the opportunity to express themselves creatively around their thoughts about peace. The Rose Park Lions Club has for the past 15 years co-sponsored the contest to include the sixth grade students in the eight schools in and around the Rose Park area.
