Carmell Childs' Chicken Bacon Burger with Cherry-Chive Mayo won the fourth annual Spreading Smucker’s Traditions Recipe and Essay Contest, the J.M. Smucker Company announced on Friday.

Childs, of Provo, won $20,000 toward a dream family reunion and $1,000 for a personal planner to help, according to a news release. She told Valerie Phillips in a previous Deseret News article that if she won, her kids are hoping for a Disneyland family reunion.

She was one of five finalists who was invited to New York City to present her Chicken Bacon Burger with Cherry-Chive Mayo at a live judging. Her recipe was inspired by a dish her mother used to make for Sunday night dinners.

The contest also included an essay, which childs wrote about her mother.

All five of the finalists' recipes are online at www.smuckers.com.
