SALT LAKE CITY — Police were looking Thursday for two people allegedly involved in a home invasion robbery.

Just before 1 a.m., two men entered an apartment, 136 S. 300 East, through an unlocked door. Two men and a woman, all in their 20s, were inside the apartment. One of the males was kicked in the stomach and the other punched, according to Salt Lake police. The female was not injured.

At first, the intruders demanded cell phones but ultimately left with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police.

The victims told police they did not know the intruders. Investigators said Thursday, however, that they didn't believe the crime was completely random.

Anyone with information can call police at 801-799-3000.
