SALT LAKE CITY — A 31-year-old man was charged in connection with a 2009 stabbing Monday.
Jeremy Alan Dillard approached a group of people at 500 S. 200 East on June 1, 2009, and demanded money, according to court documents filed Monday in the 3rd District Court.
Those in the group said they did not have money, and Dillard allegedly grabbed Tianna Ramirez from behind in a choke hold and continued to demand money, charges state. An older man, Timothy Turner, told Dillard to leave the group alone and began struggling with Dillard.
According to the charging documents, Dillard pulled out a knife from his pocket and stabbed Turner in the neck. A photograph was taken by Salt Lake City Police Crime Lab which showed a puncture wound on Turner's right forearm and a deep cut approximately eight to nine inches long on the left side of his neck, charges state.
Dillard was charged with aggravated robbery and attempted murder, both first-degree felonies.
