Provo — A BYU-student-owned company, React Games, won the top spot in The Utah Student 25 awards program, which honors student-founded businesses in Utah.
Utah Student 25 released its Top 25 list, on which Utah County companies secured 14 spots on the list – BYU had 10 spots while Utah Valley University received four. Altogether, the 25 companies had gross revenue of more than $6 million. The Utah Student 25 list is similar to the Inc. 500 list.
The sixteenth-place business, Kisstixx, was publicized on the ABC show “The Shark Tank” on March 3. The owners made a deal with Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, who invested $200,000 for 40 percent of the company.
BYU companies on the list include React Games (No. 1), Dakine Auto L.L.C. (No. 5), The Awful Waffle (No. 6), Vital Foods (No. 7), Solase Massage and Oxygen Bar (No. 10), Printing Jay (No. 11), Alpine Window Washing (No. 14), SEOqueue (No. 17), Exceptional Accounting Services (No. 18), Nice Guys Lending Services, Inc. (No. 21), Muse Music CafÉ/Colin Hatch (No. 22), and Prime Infographics (No. 24).
Utah Valley University companies include COALITION (No. 8), Utah Valley Lawn Care (No. 13), The Gluten Free Consumer (No. 15), and Kisstixx (No. 16).
