CORVALLIS, Ore. — So much for carryover. The Utah Utes are playing more like they have a hangover following last Saturday's upset of Stanford. They trail Oregon State 36-15 at halftime.
The Beavers have dominated across the board — outscoring the Utes 22-6 in the paint, 11-3 off the bench and 9-1 in second-chance opportunities.
Oregon State is shooting 53.6 percent from the floor, while Utah is hitting at a 21.7 percent clip. The Beavers hold a 24-13 rebounding advantage.
The Utes are seeking their first win away from the Huntsman Center since Chris Hines hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer of a 62-60 victory at New Mexico on Feb. 19, 2011. Since then, they've dropped 15 straight games outside of Salt Lake City — 11 true road contests and four at neutral sites.
