SALT LAKE CITY — An Idaho man was charged after allegedly stealing luggage and contents values at $1,700 at the Salt Lake City International Airport.
Edwardo Jaramillo, 46, of Pocatello, has been charged with one count of theft, a third-degree felony, according to documents filed Friday in 3rd District Court.
A man told police that his bag was stolen from the airport baggage claim on Feb 12. Officers at the airport were able to examine surveillance footage and view another man in a grey shirt remove the missing bag from the carousel and leave it in a vehicle.
The car's owner told police he was at the airport at the time of the incident and that he was with his brother, Jaramillo, who was wearing a grey shirt at the time. Police contacted Jaramillo's wife, who located and returned the bag. According to court documents, the bag was in poor condition and multiple items were missing.
