Chinese New Year Celebration. Celebrate the year of the dragon with fun-packed activities, including a short animated 12 Zodiac Animals movie, Chinese dance from Ms. Cora Lazalde's dance group, 1st movement of Butterfly Lovers violin concerto, a famous Chinese music piece, Chinese diabolo show and crafts.

After School Club: Star Wars. Not too long from now, at a library not too far away, younglings will gather to test their Jedi skill. Come have fun as we travel to the Star Wars galaxy with games, crafts and fun.

March 9, 6:15 p.m. Ages 10 to 17

Hunger Games Party. You’ve watched the trailer, read and reread the books, and talked about whether you were pulling for Peeta or Gale. If you're as crazy about “The Hunger Games” as we are, join us for a Hunger Games—library style. We will be making buttons, decorating cookies, face painting, making Hunger Game pendants, having the Cornucopia Challenge, jeopardy and lots more. Pick up permission slips starting Feb. 24.

March 12 through March 24 Teens

Shredded Book Contest. Teens, come celebrate Teen Tech Month by guessing what popular teen book has been shredded. Any participants get a fine waiver and the winner will receive a cool prize.

Homeschooling Basics. Join Bethany Gardiner, MD, for an informational program about homeschooling. Get the basics and ask questions! In addition to being a board-certified pediatrician, Dr. Gardiner is a seasoned homeschooling mother with over a decade of experience in homeschooling her own children and teaching co-op classes for other homeschoolers.
