MIDVALE — Detectives from the Unified Police Department have recovered an estimated $25,000 worth of stolen property.
Just after 7 a.m. Tuesday, officers received a tip of a wanted person at 6790 S. 123 East. They arrived and took John Tedrow, 29, into custody without incident on an outstanding warrant.
Upon further inspection of the house, detectives found stolen laptops and other electronics, as well as golf clubs and various personal items. The property was believed to have come from at least three business burglaries in Murray as well as several residential burglaries, said UPD Lt. Justin Hoyal.
Tedrow was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of possession of stolen property.
He was charged Jan. 26 in Third District Court with two felony counts of theft by receiving stolen property. He pleaded guilty in December to an amended charge of attempted drug possession and was sentenced to probation, according to court records.
