Academy Award-winner Benicio Del Toro broke his wrist while doing his own stuntwork in "The Hunted," forcing a delay in filming.

Del Toro, who won a best-supporting actor Oscar for "Traffic," broke his wrist as he dived for a knife during a fight scene with Tommy Lee Jones, a Paramount Pictures spokeswoman said Wednesday. She said the production process probably won't be impeded.

The accident occurred June 14 in Portland, Ore. Del Toro, 34, only had five days left to work on the film, which is scheduled for release in spring 2002.
