A man chased down and beaten by a mob of nearly 100 people enraged by the drug-related slaying of a teenager was charged with murder Saturday.
Cecil Ray Dickey, 33, was charged with murder in the June 12 death of James Kenneth Moore, 17. Dickey was ordered held without bond because he reportedly threatened to kill a witness in the investigation.
Dickey, bloodied and crying, was arrested Thursday by police who rescued him from the mob after he fled into a house. Police were in the area to arrest another man in an unrelated slaying.
