Maintenance work in the upcoming week will cause traffic interference in Davis and Salt Lake counties, the Utah Department of Transportation says.

Southbound I-15 motorists near Beck Street and the I-215 exit in North Salt Lake should expect slow traffic movement Sunday from 5 a.m. until early afternoon. A crew will be placing a 2-inch layer of pavement along the quarter-mile section of I-15.Motorists on I-15 northbound will find the center and outside lanes closed near the railroad structure at 36th South from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. A crew will be rotomilling the surface to remove old, cracked bituminous pavement.

On Monday, southbound motorists on I-15 near the Pages Lane structure in Centerville should expect lane restrictions from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Bridge deck repairs will be done at that time.

Tuesday, workers will be working on bridge deck repairs near the 15th South structure of northbound I-15 in Bountiful from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. The middle and outside lanes will be closed.

The Pages Lane structure on northbound I-15 will receive bridge deck repairs on Wednesday. Motorists should be aware that the middle and outside lanes will be closed between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Motorists on 78th South from 40th West to Copperton can expect up to 15- minute delays Monday through Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A paving process will require one-way traffic past the paving area directed by a pilot car. The crew will do a 2-mile section each day.
