Fire crews battled several relatively small grass fires around the state on Saturday, while a 100-acre blaze near Tabby Peak in Tooele County's Cedar Mountains was burning out of control Saturday night.

The Tabby Peak fire began about 4:36 p.m. Saturday, apparently caused by lightning. Other Tooele County fire were near I-80's Dugway exit, apparently started by a man testing a homemade rocket, and near Iosepa and Vernon. Two other small blazes were extinguished near Marysvale and Otter Creek Reservoir in Sevier County.
