Kristen Logan of Mississippi was named America's Junior Miss on Saturday night, triumphing over 49 other high school seniors by singing "Somewhere Out There" and winning the physical fitness category.

"I feel fantastic," said the 17-year-old Hattiesburg native.Indiana's Jody Hilger was the first runner-up, and Delphine Lee of Oklahoma was second. The third runner-up was Idaho's Lucretia Murphy. California's Megan Murray was fourth.

Logan said she plans to use the $30,000 scholarship she won to attend Baylor University next fall, where she plans to major in broadcasting.
