SPRINGVILLE — "Three Women," a trio of one-act plays by Brigham Young University professor/playwright Eric Samuelsen, will be staged Feb. 22-24 and March 1-3 at the VIP Arts' Little Brown Theatre, 239 S. Main.

"Bar and Kel" focuses on friendship and the dilemma of turning someone into a "project" and trying to change them because we're uncomfortable with their differences or standing back and accepting them on their own level.

"Community Standard" is a dramatization of the local Movie Buffs trial.

"Three Women" explores the objectification of women and how people sometimes fail each other even if they have the best of intentions.

The three plays touch on such sensitive themes as spousal abuse, cultural attitudes toward pornography and date rape.

Wendi Keller has directed all three plays. Performers include Erin Chambers, Leslie Larsen, Michelle Farone, Anna Sluder and Amy Addams.

Tickets are $7 for general admission seating and $6 for students and senior citizens. For reservations, call 489-3088.
