A woman whose husband planted a bomb on an airliner in a failed attempt to kill her and her three children sued Soldier of Fortune magazine this week, saying her husband obtained the incendiary device through the magazine's classified ads.

The lawsuit, filed in Austin federal court, follows a March verdict by a Houston jury in which the same magazine was ordered to pay $9.4 million in damages to the family of a woman whose husband hired a man to kill her.

In the latest suit against the magazine, which caters to veterans and military weapons enthusiasts, Mary Thielman of San Marcos, Texas, claimed her husband Albert bought the bomb from a Houston man who advertised as a "gun for hire."
