The director of the University of Utah counseling center has been named president-elect of the International Association of Counseling Services.

Weston H. Morrill, professor of educational psychology, will begin his term in March 1989.Morrill has been the director of the U. counseling center for 10 years. The center helps students adjust to college life by offering programs such as stress management, assertiveness training, test anxiety and divorce-separation adjustment.

Morrill received a doctorate from the University of Missouri after earning a bachelor's and master's degree from Brigham Young University. He was an assistant professor at Michigan State University and an associate professor of psychology at Colorado State University, and he practiced psychology privately.
