Our angel, Tyler, passed away peacefully at home on December 20, 2000 of a brain disease called Adrenoleukodystrophy.
Tyler was born September 9, 1992 to Ken and Wendy Horton. Tyler touched his family, friends, and an entire community like few others could. With a smile that lit up a room, Tyler brought joy to those who knew him. Tyler lived to play sports and with his friends, who were with him until the end. He will be deeply missed by all those that loved and knew him.
Tyler is survived by his parents; brothers, Cory and Ryan; sister, Kayla; grandparents, Ralph and Mildred Horton and Robert and Marilyn Shelley; uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 23 at 1 p.m. Friends may call Friday evening, 6-8 p.m. at Parkway 9th Ward, 10100 South 3200 West and one hour prior to services on Saturday.
God saw you were getting tired
And a cure was not to be,
So he put his arms around you
And whispered, "come with me"
With tearful eyes we watched
You suffer and saw you fade away;
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.
So when we saw you sleeping
So peacefully from your pain;
We could not wish you back to
Suffer that way again.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Your hard-working hands were at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.
