Brooke Hopkins, an associate professor of English who specializes in British romanticism and psychoanalysis and literature, has been selected as the 1988 Distinguished Honors Professor at the University of Utah.

Hopkins, director of the U. English graduate studies program, was honored with a Distinguished Teaching Award in 1979 and the University Professor award in 1981.

He was nominated and chosen for the title by honors students, who considered the evaluations his courses received from students, the courses he developed and other criteria.
