Two Salt Lake men Sunday were booked into Salt Lake County jail for questioning in the forcible sodomy of a woman, Salt Lake City police records said. One was also booked in connection with attempted homicide charges.
Angelo Gomez Wright, 32, was booked under attempted criminal homicide, forcible sodomy and forcible sexual abuse charges. Wilford L. McCullough, 41, was booked under forcible sodomy charges, the records said.A woman, 31, was forcibly taken to an apartment at 1836 S. Edison St., Apt. 2, about 8 p.m. by two men, the records said.
At the apartment, the two men used cocaine while the woman sat in the living room. While discussing the homicide of a former girlfriend and another woman, Wright became very angry, the records said.
The man struck the women and tied her up with her clothing. Both men then sodomized her, the report said.
One man forced the woman into a bathroom and put her head under a cold shower and "started pounding her head into the shower wall," the report said, adding he also tried to hold her head under water.
The man released the woman when witnesses who heard her screams knocked on the door.
Police arrested Wright at the scene of the incident after kicking in a door to enter the apartment. McCullough was arrested later at a home at 3680 S. Fifth East on an outstanding warrant, the report said.
