A moderate earthquake toppled the wall of a house and injured three people on Mindoro Island south of Manila Monday, officials said.

The 4:20 a.m. quake measured 5.4 on the Richter scale. It hit wide areas of Occidental Mindoro, on the southern section of the island, about 150 miles south of Manila.

Red Cross provincial administrator Remedios Eraham said a woman and her children, ages 7 and 8, were injured when a wall of their house collapsed in San Jose town, on the southern tip of Mindoro.
