Third-ranked Utah held off BYU 71-61 in front of 22,242 spectators at the Marriott Center to improve to 13-0 and win a sixth straight contest against the Cougars.

Utah senior Michael Doleac scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds while freshman guard Trace Caton had 10 points.

Junior college transfer Ron Selleaze had 26 points in his home debut for BYU and went 11 for 11 from the free-throw line.
