BYU and Utah fell on the road to WAC doormats as UTEP topped BYU by a score of 14-3 while ending the Cougars 138-game touchdown streak.

BYU had zero yards rushing and 226 yards passing as Drew Miller became the first QB to start as a true freshman under LaVell Edwards.

The Utes lost wide receiver Kevin Dyson to a back bruise after he became the schools career pass-reception leader with his 178th catch and then lost at Tulsa 21-13.

Utahs Daniel Jones got to the Tulsa 7 but couldnt get out of bounds as the clock ran out.
