The same week Utah basketball coach Rick Majerus told Arizona State he wouldnt take over their struggling program, the Sun Devils had another setback.

BYU upset 14th-ranked Arizona State 13-10 at Sun Devil Stadium for the Cougars first win in Tempe since 1965. BYU also shook off an oh-fer record against the Pac-10 in nine previous games.

Kevin Feterik was 17 of 30 for 328 yards, Ben Cahoon had eight catches for 209 yards and Owen Pochman made a 32-yard field goal with 4:39 remaining in the game.
