Utah Utes tight end Harrison Handley (88), quarterback Tyler Huntley (1) and offensive lineman Jackson Barton (70) celebrate after Huntley ran for a touchdown, putting the Utes up 16-0 over the Brigham Young Cougars in the third quarter at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017.

PROVO — BYU and Utah face off for the 92nd (or 98th) time in the history of this red and blue instate rivalry. The Utes are on a six-game winning streak and come into the game as slight favorites despite playing the game in LaVell Edwards Stadium.

The 2017 matchup (8:26 p.m. on ESPN) will be the first without the stadium's namesake, but Brad Rock argues that it's still LaVell's game. There are reasons to believe either team can win, writes Dick Harmon.
