It took some 10 months to get, but Utahs 27-21 win at Louisville finally broke a three-game losing streak dating back to November and gave Ron McBride his 50th coaching victory.

Though the 50th was a long time coming, McBride became the fastest to that landmark number in Utah history (eight seasons) until Kyle Whittingham reached the mark in his sixth season in 2010. Ike Armstrong, Utahs winningest coach, got his 50th win to start his ninth season.
