Salt Lake Buzz first baseman Chad Rupp hit his 30th home run in the seventh inning of a 7-5 victory over Albuquerque to become the franchises single-season record-holder.

Rupp passed Bernardo Brito, who had 29 in 1994. Brito missed a month of the 94 season with a broken bone in his hand.

Rupp would end up with 32 home runs on the season, a mark that would stand until Salt Lakes Mark Trumbo led the PCL with 36 in 2010. Rupp still has the second-most home runs in franchise history.
