AUBURN HILLS —The Utah Jazz defeated the Detroit Pistons 97-83 Wednesday night.

Dominating the play, the Jazz built as much as a 23-point lead in the victory.

The Jazz have now won five of their last six.


• The Pistons' Andre Drummond was held to just six points on 3-of-4 shooting and five rebounds.

• Joe Ingles went 4-of-5 from beyond the arc in the Jazz victory.

• Rodney Hood finished with zero points in nine minutes of action as he left the game with an injury.

Jazz:Gordon Hayward led the game in scoring with 25 points.

Pistons:Ish Smith came off the bench and led the Pistons with 16 points.
