MALIBU, Calif. — It was a complete effort by the Waves to defeat BYU 99-83. Pepperdine was hot, shooting better than 50 percent from the field and beyond the arc and 85 percent from the charity stripe.

The Waves' Lamond Murray Jr. was too much to handle, putting up 30 points in the victory.

Nick Emery led the Cougars with 19 points. Center Eric Mika finished with 18 points and five rebounds.
