STANFORD, California — The Runnin' Utes finished their road trip to the Bay Area empty-handed after a 81-75 loss to Stanford at the Maples Pavilion on Saturday afternoon.

The Utes stayed close with the Cardinal all game, but couldn't ever take control.

Utah forward Tyler Rawson had a career high of 20 points in the loss.


• Stanford's forward line of Reid Travis and Dorian Pickens combined for 30 points on xx of xx shooting.

• Robert Cartwright kept the Utes off-balance by hitting 3 of 4 from the 3-point line on his way to 11 points and five assists.

• Tyler Rawson led the Utes in points with a career-high of 20 — 9 points came on 4 of 6 shooting from beyond the 3-point line.

Records: Utah 15-7 (6-4), 6th place; Stanford 11-11 (3-7), 10th


Utah: Kyle Kuzma had 15 points, 8 rebounds and 1 assist.

Stanford: Reid Travis had 21 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
