ROY — The Rampage 99 Black boys U17 soccer club team from Roy captured the championship of the National Presidents Cup tournament recently in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

At nationals, the Utah team went 4-0 and outscored its opponents by a combined 12-2 margin overall with victories over teams from Florida, New Jersey and Ohio.

The Roy team defeated the Soccer Pit Cobras from Florida 3-1 in the championship game, as Cameron Tayrien of Weber High scored two goals, including one in extra time, and Fremont High's Alec Ferrin also scored an extra-time goal for the Rampage side.
