No. 21 BYU turned the ball over on three straight possessions in the third quarter and Steve Sarkisian failed to throw a TD pass for the first time in his Cougar career, but the Cougars beat Utah State 45-17.

The Cougars found other ways to reach the end zone as ex-Aggie James Dye had a 79-yard punt return for a score late in the third quarter and Shay Muirbrook had a 45-yard fumble return for the games first TD early in the second quarter.

The Aggies had their own turnover problems as Brad Martin picked off a pass on Utah States first play on offense.
