SAN JOSE — Coming off a dramatic victory against BYU last week, the Utah Utes are on the road for their final contest before Pac-12 play next week.

Their opponent is the San Jose State Spartans, who are 1-1 after a 66-35 win over FCS Portland State last week. A Utes win would give head coach Kyle Whittingham his third straight 3-0 start, while a Spartans victory would move them to 2-1 for the first time since 2012.

Utah has a 19-1 record in non-conference games since becoming a member of the Pac-12 in 2011, while San Jose State hasn't defeated a team in the Pac-12 since knocking off Stanford (35-34) in 2006.
