PROVO — BYU basketball coach Dave Rose announced today that the Cougars will host Princeton on Monday, Nov. 14, in the Marriott Center.

The Cougars are 4-0 all-time against Princeton, including 2-0 at home. The first meeting of the series came during the 1981 NCAA Tournament in Providence, Rhode Island, a game BYU won 60-51. The teams last met on Dec. 14, 1991, in Provo as part of the Cougar Classic. The Cougars won that game 65-59.

Princeton finished the 2015-16 season with a 22-7 overall record and second in the Ivy League with a 12-2 record. The Tigers played Virginia Tech in the first round of the 2016 NIT and fell 86-81 on the road.

With the addition of the Princeton game, the matchup with BYU-Hawaii will be played as an exhibition game on Nov. 9 in the Marriott Center. The exhibition with Westminster will be played in 2017-18.

Broadcast plans and game times will be announced at a later date.
