PROVO — Jake Ellison hung on to win the Provo Open, defeating amateur Patrick Fishburn by one shot in the 54-hole tournament, which concluded Saturday afternoon at East Bay Golf Course.

Ellison, who led by one shot going into the final round, shot a final-round 70 and finished with a 16-under-par 200 total to capture the professional first prize of $3,500. Davis Garner was second among the pros at 203, while Seokwon Jeon and Zach Johnson tied for third at 206.

Fishburn, a junior-to-be at BYU, coming off a victory at the Salt Lake City Amateur, shot a 68 to finish at 201. Former University of Utah golfer Brandon Kida was second among the amateurs at 206.

Former PGA Tour winner Keith Clearwater was low among the senior professionals at 214, while Dave DeSantis was second and Eric Nielsen third. Kean Ridd, Roy Christensen and Tom Storey tied for first among the super seniors at 228. Brett Sampson was the low senior amateur at 225.
