After winning Game 3 of the Western Conference finals against the Seattle SuperSonics by 20 points, the Utah Jazz dropped a two-point game to fall behind 3-1 in the series.

John Stockton missed a buzzer-beating 3-pointer as the Jazz fell 88-86. Utah missed 11 of 22 foul shots in the close game.

Jeff Hornacek scored 28 points and Bryon Russell had 24 in Utahs 96-76 win after dropping two games in Seattle.
