The BYU men's basketball program announced that guard Steven Beo has signed a National Letter of Intent.

Beo was going to join the Cougars as a walk-on, but the recent transfer of Jake Toolson to UVU opened up a scholarship for the 6-foot-3 guard out of Richland, Washington.

Beo joins a signing class that includes Bingham's Yoeli Childs, Timpview's Gavin Baxter and Connor Harding of Idaho.

According to a release, Beo and Childs will play for Rose in the 2016-2017 season, while Baxter and Harding will be serving missions.
