A year after handing New Mexico its worst loss at The Pit, the 10th-ranked Utes dealt out a case of deja vu with an 82-64 victory.

Keith Van Horn scored 25 points to quiet a sellout crowd of 18,018 anxious for vengeance after the previous season's 86-50 pasting in the Western Athletic Conference tournament.

The Runnin' Utes moved up to No. 7 in the Associated Press Top 25 after the victory, which also marked the first sweep of the UTEP-New Mexico road trip since 1981. Utah beat the Miners 68-54.
